What To Do In The Event Of An Accident:

_{You will need to phone us at 1890 77 99 99. When you call us to report the Accident we will need the following so make a note of them while you are on the spot:}

• Note the registration numbers of the vehicles involved.
• Note the name of the Insurance Company insuring any vehicle(s) involved. This will be available from the Insurance Disc on each windscreen.
• Ask for the Names and Address of other people involved and any witnesses.
• Make a sketch plan of the scene of the Accident and record in writing the circumstances which caused the Accident (This will be required when completing an Accident Report Form).
• Do not admit responsibility or sign any statement to this effect or negotiate the settlement of any claim without our written agreement.

You Must, If Required, Give:

1. Your Name and Address.

2. The Name and Address of the vehicle owner (if not yourself)

3. The registration number of your vehicle and Insurance details.

4. If Gardai are at the scene of the Accident provide Insurance details to the Gardai. If no Gardai is present, to anyone who was involved in or affected by the Accident - In any other case the information must be given, if requested, to anyone who was present at the time of the Accident.

5. Where a person or persons are injured, the Accident must be reported to Gardai at the scene of the Accident, or at the nearest convenient Garda station.

No matter where you are driving in Ireland, in the event of an Accident, Fire or Theft, as an Allianz Direct Comprehensive Motor Policyholder, you can get all the assistance you need free of charge with a single phone call. In the event of Fire or Theft, Third Party Fire and Theft customers can also avail of the service free of charge. 24hours a day 365 days a Year, our Accident, Fire & Theft Emergency Services is ready and waiting to come to your aid with the following services:

• If possible we'll get you back on the road when we call out.
• If your car is badly damaged we'll see to it that you and your passengers are brought home safely.
• We'll tow your car to an approved garage for repairs and appoint an assessor.
• While you're waiting for your car, we'll give you a free replacement car for up to 5 days.
• We settle directly with our approved garages saving you making any payments other than your Policy Excess.
• If your car is Stolen we'll supply you with a replacement for up to 14 Days. If the car has not been recovered after this time we shall then settle your claim.

What Happens If Your Car Is Beyond Economical Repair:

Our appointed assessor will inspect the damage sustained to your car and will then refer the matter to a specialist valuation company who will place a 'Market Valuation' on your vehicle prior to the Accident, having taken into consideration the condition and mileage of your car.

The assessor may arrange for the car to be moved to a place of safe storage, where it will be stored until the claim is settled. You will need to remove all your personal belongings from the car before this happens.

To speed up your claim you will be required to forward the following:

• Copy of Vehicle Licencing Certificate
• Copy of the NCT (if applicable)
• Completed Claim Form

What Happens If Your Car Is Stolen?

If your car is Stolen, you will need to send us a completed Claim Form, stamped by the Gardai (The Claim form is available below or call us on 1890 77 99 99 and we'll send you this)

If your car is not recovered within 14 days, send us the original Vehicle Licencing Certificate, all Keys, the NCT and a copy of the finance/lease agreement (if applicable) and we will proceed to deal with your car on a total loss basis. You will be entitled to a replacement car for up to 14 days (or while the car remains unrecovered).

If your car is recovered, please contact us immediately with the location of the car.
