Travel Insurance - FAQ'S

How can I pay for this policy?

We accept credit card, bank draft/ postal order.

When does my Multi Trip Travel insurance begin?

We need to be in receipt of the original proposal form for cover to commence, (Faxes are not acceptable).

Can I get Instant cover?

Only if the proposal is received.

Can I upgrade or change my policy?

Yes, at any time with a phone call.

Am I covered for holidays in Ireland?

No, this insurance is specifically for travelling abroad.

Will you automatically renew my policy?

No your renewal notice is issued 2/3 weeks prior to renewal and you will need to inform us to renew the policy.

Is there a restriction on amount of children on the Multi Trip Travel Insurance policy?

There is no restriction on the amount of children on the policy.

If I want to bring another child but not mine is this covered?

Yes, only if that child does not have cover on Multi Trip Travel Insurance elsewhere.

Is there an age limit?

No but different rates apply to over 65 years of age and then over 75 years of age.

I have a pre-existing medical condition, can I still have cover under this policy?

Yes, but you must ring our medical assist line (OSG 01- 6619133) who will confirm either way.

Do I need to advise you of this condition?

No, if OSG advise you can get cover they will provide reference numbers, which you will enter on the proposal form before returning it.

Will you insure me if I am pregnant?

Yes, we will insure you to travel but we will not cover any medical and related expenses incurred abroad.

Is there an excess on the policy?

Yes, its €70.

How long can I travel at any one time?

31 days for any one time and 90 days travel in total.

Are my family members covered if they travel alone and not part of the family?

Yes they are covered for any trips they may take alone.

Do you have an emergency helpline I can contact abroad?

Yes, the number is contained in your policy booklet, telephone 00353 16373686.

If I want to claim on the policy who do I contact?

You can contact OSG on 016619133 who will deal with all travel claims on behalf of Allianz.

Do I get a discount if I am an Allianz Direct policy holder?

Yes you get €10 off your multi trip travel insurance policy.

Does this discount apply to family members?

No, it only applies to the policy holder.
