Hi Everyone,

Well, we have finally passed the halfway mark of this challenge and at 5:30pm yesterday evening we ran one step closer towards achieving my goal of completing the 777. I am elated!

We landed in Marrakech at midnight last night and got to our hotel at 2am. I was so looking forward to spending a few hours there to get a little sleep, as I haven’t been sleeping at all on the flights. I was so happy to finally get to bathe my feet, which I’m sure you can understand are very sore, but I am battling through it and am determined that nothing is going to stand in the way of me and that Guinness World Record!

I am so relieved my NormaTec device arrived in Madrid and I was able to use it on my flight to Marrakech last night. NormaTec Recovery helps athletes to recover faster between workouts by reducing muscle soreness and improving circulation and range of motion. It’s like having your own personal masseuse travel with you! It was Dr. May Tan from Vhi Healthcare who helped to broker with NormaTech in Boston and after hearing about my story and the challenge I was about to embark upon, they offered to donate the device to help me attain my goal. We had hoped to have it arrive in Dublin before we embarked on the marathons but when it didn’t, my friends in Allianz did everything in their power to have it shipped out to me.

Right now, I am heading for the start line of the North African race. This is marathon 5 on the 5th continent in 5 days. The race is due to start at 9:30am this morning – keep an eye on the Allianz Facebook page for updates

Thanks again for all of the support,

Sinead
