Our on-line insurance self service portal was first launched on 15th April 2015 and it was a day that we in Allianz Ireland are very proud of. Customers had been telling us for some time that they wanted to transact digitally with us (similar to on-line banking) so we set about designing the portal.
It took 18 months of planning, development and testing by a large team of dedicated individuals representing almost every department within our Company. The first version of MyAllianz was introduced last April and promoted to our new business customers. The valuable customer feedback we received at that time enabled us to improve the self service offering. The service evolved and in October 2015 the on-line payments functionality was introduced. We then began to promote the service to our existing customers (insured directly with Allianz).
Daily account registrations continue to increase and I’m delighted to let you know that in such a short timeframe, 1 in every 5 Direct customers now has a MyAllianz account. With customers now able to view insurance documents via their on-line account, an impressive 44% of our Direct customers now receive their documents electronically – together we’re doing our bit to help reduce paper pollution and manage our costs as a business.
