Our most Frequently Asked Questions about Allianz Schools Insurance.

Yes, once it is carried out with the full knowledge and authority of and under the control of the Board of Management, cover is provided under the Custodian School Protection Policy. All funds raised must be for the benefit of the School.

Depending on the activities being organised certain requirements and/or warranties may apply, such as

  • BBQ Requirements
  • Bouncing Castle Requirements
  • Pony/donkey riding Warranty

(this list is intended as a sample of the type of restrictions and warranties that may apply to fund raising events)

These are not restricting the use of BBQ’s and bouncing castles, but rather setting out precautions that must be taken in their safe operation.

Please notify Allianz of such events and their activities and we will send you the appropriate requirements/warranties.

Volunteers engaged by the Board of Management are included under the definition of an Employee within your Custodian School Protection Policy. However, volunteers must be supervised by a member of the Board of Management or teaching staff while they carry out their duties.
Volunteers must be approved by the Board of Management. All volunteers must be fit to carry out the work they are being asked to complete. Volunteers are subject to the same Child Protection vetting and legislative requirement and guidelines as regular employees.
