We provide your policy cover for driving within Northern Ireland, Great Britain, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. We also provide the minimum cover required while you drive in any EU country and other countries which have made arrangements to meet the minimum insurance requirements set out by the EU.

Windscreen cover generally covers damage to the vehicle windscreen. Our windscreen cover also covers damage to other glass in the vehicle. Windscreen cover is only included with comprehensive cover.

We will pay for loss of or accidental damage to any trailer, provided it's been added to the policy and the details have been given to us. Third party only cover applies whilst attached or temporarily detached. You are automatically covered to tow a trailer with third party cover, as long as you and your vehicle are in compliance with Road Traffic legislation.

While your vehicle is being used as a tool of trade, we will provide cover to meet the minimum requirements of Road Traffic Act Legislation but excluding; subsidence, flooding, water pollution and damage to pipes and cables. The maximum liability we will cover is €6,400,000.

We offer step back bonus protection as standard for customers who hold four or more years no claim discount. This means if you have a claim worth less than €10,000, you won’t lose your full no claim bonus discount, it will step back to two years. Claims greater than €10,000 will see your no claim discount reduced to nil.

If there is a valid claim on your policy, we will pay for charges under the Fire Services Act 1981 where a fire brigade unit attend the scene of an accident. The most we will pay for fire brigade charges is €2,025.

The most we will pay is €1,525 towards the cost of replacing and or recoding of locks, keys or similar devices for your vehicle if they are stolen:

• a. from your permanent or temporary residence as a result of forcible entry or exit
• b. arising out of an assault or threat of violence We will not pay: a. any costs if the theft of keys or similar devices is not reported to an Garda Síochána
• c. the additional cost of importing any part from outside of the European Union. If you make a claim for this benefit, you will not have to pay an excess and it will not affect your NCB.

• A no claim discount helps you save money on your van insurance. Every year you earn a no claim discount, you will receive a discount off your annual insurance premium. A protected no claim discount allows you to have two unlimited third party or accidental damage claims in any three year renewal period, without having an impact on your no claim discount. This means if you have two accidents and you claim on your policy it will not affect your no claim discount. Any more than two claims will result in your no claim discount being reduced by two years. Protected no claims discount is available to select if you have 4 or more years no claims discount.
