Maximum Benefit: The standard maximum annual benefit for Veterinary Fees for injury and illness is typically €4,000 (this limit is often reinstated each year upon policy renewal).
What is Covered: This benefit generally includes costs for:
- Consultations and examinations.
- Hospitalisation.
- Referrals to specialists.
- Medication.
- Surgery (including anaesthesia).
- Diagnostic procedures (X-rays, ultrasounds, etc., though some advanced scans like MRI/CT may require pre-authorisation).
Key Exclusions to Note:
Routine Care: Routine and preventative treatments are generally not covered (e.g., vaccinations, neutering, worming, annual health checks, routine dental scaling).
Pre-existing Conditions: Any injury or illness your pet had before the cover started will be excluded.
We will cover the cost of any treatment your pet has received during the policy year for an illness or injury up to
€4,000.
Our standard policy excess for veterinary fee claims is €100, other voluntary excesses are available. Please refer to
your schedule of insurance, policy booklet, or contact us directly if you wish to query this amount.
You may also be required to pay a percentage of each claim, depending on your pet’s age. If this applies, it will be
shown on your schedule of insurance.
